The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has issued instructions for customers to recommence the loading of crude oil at its facilities on Das and Zirku islands, located in the Persian Gulf. This directive follows the improved regional conditions stemming from the recent agreement between the United States and Iran, along with the anticipation of uninterrupted maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Since April 27, ADNOC has made crude oil available for loading, emphasizing that any delays in collecting scheduled shipments could violate contract terms. To assist clients encountering shipping issues, the company has offered support through its own or affiliated tanker services.
The decision mirrors efforts by Gulf oil producers to normalize export activities after regional disturbances. ADNOC, a prominent exporter in the area, has already sold millions of barrels via tenders, maintaining its active presence in the market.
In parallel, the United Arab Emirates is advancing initiatives to diversify export routes, aiming to lessen dependency on the Strait of Hormuz. Accelerated projects are underway to boost the capacity of pipelines leading to the port of Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman, which would enable more crude shipments to circumvent the crucial waterway.
